Latvian basketball player Žagars becomes Turkish champion for second time with Fenerbahce
Latvian basketball player Artūrs Žagars has won his second consecutive Turkish championship with Fenerbahce, after they defeated Besiktas 3-1 in the finals.

Victory in the final
Fenerbahce secured the title with a 77-75 away win over their Istanbul rivals Besiktas, closing out the series 3-1. In the decisive game, Wade Baldwin led the winners with 21 points, while Yigits Arslan scored 19 for the opposition.
Žagars' stats
Artūrs Žagars, who also won the title last season, played limited minutes this campaign due to injuries but still appeared in the playoffs. In the Turkish league, he averaged 7.2 points, 2.5 assists, and shot 39% from three-point range over 18 games, playing about 15 minutes per contest.
Road to the title
Before the finals, Fenerbahce, coached by Šarūns Jasikevičius, eliminated Anadolu Efes (featuring Latvian Rolands Šmits) 3-1 in the semifinals. This is Fenerbahce's 16th Turkish championship.
