No Heavy Precipitation Expected in Latvia Before End of Week
Due to an anticyclone, Latvia can expect variable cloud cover and only light precipitation until the end of the week, forecasters say. The coldest night, in Latgale, may see temperatures fall to -4 degrees.

Latvia will remain under the influence of an anticyclone, an area of high atmospheric pressure, until the end of this week, so heavy precipitation is not expected. The forecast from meteorologists was reported by the news agency LETA.
In the second half of the week, cloud cover will vary, and light precipitation is possible in some places, mainly brief rain.
Wind and temperature
On Thursday and during the night to Friday, northwesterly wind gusts along the coast will strengthen to 18 metres per second. At the weekend, a light to moderate westerly wind will blow.
On Thursday the air will warm to +8..+12 degrees, while in the following days temperatures will stay below +10 degrees. The coldest weather is expected on the night to Saturday in Latgale, where the temperature may fall to -4 degrees.
Outlook for the coming weeks
Next week, especially in its second half, there may be more precipitation. Air temperatures will then be slightly lower than this week.
According to data from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts, air temperatures in Latvia in the first half of November will be mostly close to normal, and slightly above normal in the second half of the month. Greater precipitation is also forecast for the second half of November.
