Greenjets, a London-based aerospace technology company specializing in propulsion systems, aircraft platforms, and launch technologies, announced today a €35 million ($40 million) Series A funding round. The round was led by Blossom Capital, with participation from the NATO Innovation Fund (NIF), the National Security Strategic Investment Fund (NSSIF), and existing investors including Tanglin Ventures and NSFO Family Office.

Founded in 2022 by Anmol Manohar and Dr. Guido Monterzino, Greenjets claims its patented engine technology enhances aircraft safety and reduces certification burdens. The company has developed proprietary propulsion architectures, ranging from electric ducted fans to geared turbofan engines, enabling quieter, faster, and more efficient aircraft.

According to the NATO Innovation Fund, drones have become the defining weapon of modern conflict. Russia produced over 50,000 Shahed-class attack drones in 2025, up from 11,000 in 2024. Newer Shahed variants reach speeds of 500 km/h, making propeller-based interceptors ineffective. Greenjets provides engines and airframes to close this gap, offering turbojet solutions that spool up faster and have more robust supply chains.

The company is under contract across multiple UK and international programs, with technologies moving toward demonstration trials with the UK Ministry of Defence and partners this year. Greenjets has expanded its UK facilities from 12,000 to nearly 70,000 square feet and plans to grow its workforce from 160 to over 250 employees.

Greenjets will use the funding to accelerate its transition from development to production, supporting the delivery of thousands of systems over the next 12 months. The investment will also accelerate development across its propulsion, aircraft, and launch technology portfolio while supporting international expansion.

Recently, Greenjets was selected as one of three companies under the UK MoD's Low-Cost Air Defence Effectors (LCADE) programme to develop a British low-cost drone interceptor. The interceptor will enter demonstration trials later this year. LCADE is part of the LEAP initiative, a five-nation European effort including the UK, Poland, France, Italy, and Germany.
