The Art Academy of Latvia (LMA) has announced the dates of its annual large-scale student exhibition and art market, “JAUNmarka 2026”. Held under the motto “Art attracts!”, the event will take place in the academy's Great Hall from 12 December to 10 January.

Who takes part

As usual, students from several levels of study will participate in “JAUNmarka”. Bachelor's programme students are still shaping their artistic style, while master's and doctoral students are already purposefully developing their individual artistic practice.

What visitors can see

The organisers say the exhibition stands out for its diversity. It will present a range of art forms and techniques, from large-format works and sculptures to delicate ceramic objects and fashion design solutions.

The organisers also stress that the appeal of art cannot always be put into words. Sometimes it is enough to surrender to the experience, discover new horizons through the artists' eyes and find works that feel personally close.

A changing display

The “JAUNmarka” display is updated and expanded every day, so each visit may bring new discoveries. In recent years, the exhibition has become increasingly popular.
