NGO representatives invited to apply for free civic dialogue training
Representatives of associations and foundations across Latvia can apply until 6 November for free civic dialogue training run by RISEBA university. The programme will accept 80 participants.

Representatives of non-governmental organisations – associations and foundations – from all regions of Latvia can apply until 6 November for free training on civic dialogue. The courses are organised by RISEBA, the Business, Arts and Technology University, according to the university.
The training is intended for heads and members of associations and foundations who want to improve their skills in strategy and project planning, communication, advocacy and public engagement. People with little previous experience in civic dialogue are also invited to take part.
Four modules
The programme consists of four modules, the first two of which will be held online. A session on civic dialogue and decision-making processes in Latvia is scheduled for 24 November. During it, participants will also work on their own organisation's strategy, project ideas and annual report. On 4 December, classes on strategic communication and digital tools will take place.
The remaining two modules – on advocacy and cooperation with institutions, and on public engagement and building partnerships – will be held in person in each Latvian region in late January and early February 2027. In one-day practical workshops, participants will examine their organisation's situation and develop an initiative and a plan for carrying it out.
Participants and conditions
In total, 80 participants will be admitted: 16 each from Riga and the Riga region, Vidzeme, Kurzeme, Zemgale and Latgale. The training is free of charge and will be conducted in Latvian. Participants will receive a certificate. Selection results will be announced by 13 November.
