Train passengers criticise lack of information after evacuation
About 140 passengers were evacuated from a train travelling from Riga to Jelgava on Saturday after damage to equipment. Some passengers called the experience terrifying and criticised the lack of information.

A train on the Riga–Jelgava route suffered damage on Saturday, and about 140 passengers had to be evacuated. The train's pantograph, the device on the roof of an electric train that draws power from the overhead line, was damaged, as was the contact network that supplies the electricity.
Some passengers on the “Vivi” train described what happened as a terrifying experience. After the evacuation, people also criticised the lack of information during the situation, according to LTV Ziņas.
The source does not say what caused the damage, whether anyone was injured, or how long the evacuation took.
