Many holidaymakers seeking to visit the sea, as well as foreign tourists, often stop at the free parking lots along the A1 Tallinn highway on the Vidzeme coast. However, during the tourist season, these locations have long experienced problems – overflowing trash containers and a lack of sufficient toilets.
The owner of these parking lots is the company Latvijas Valsts ceļi. The administration of the Salacgrīva union of the Limbaži district has sent a letter to the company, reminding it of the need to resolve the issue of trash bins and toilets. The information was reported by Latvijas Radio.
