Polish goalkeeper coach Piotr Ostrowski moves from Nõmme Kalju to Monaco
Estonian club Nõmme Kalju has announced the transfer of their goalkeeper coach Piotr Ostrowski to French Ligue 1 side Monaco, where he will work with the U-21 team and assist with the first team.

Piotr Ostrowski, who has been working at Estonian club Nõmme Kalju, will continue his career at French Ligue 1 club Monaco. The clubs have agreed on a transfer, although Ostrowski had a contract for another year and a half.
At Monaco, Ostrowski will take the position of goalkeeper coach for the youth (U-21) team and will also serve as assistant goalkeeper coach for the main team under Yuri Nieminen, according to Nõmme Kalju's official website.
Ostrowski joined Nõmme Kalju at the beginning of 2024. During his tenure, Kalju reached the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying rounds and won the Estonian Cup (2025) and the Estonian Supercup (2026).
"This transfer confirms once again that trust in young talents has been one of the cornerstones of our success. We have spoken for years about the player development path. Today we can proudly say that we are building the same opportunities for coaches. The transfer of a young coach from Nõmme Kalju directly to Monaco is a historic moment both for our club and for all Estonian football," said Nõmme Kalju president Kuno Tehva.
"Leaving Nõmme Kalju is not easy for me. I want to thank Kuno Tehva and Nikita Andreev for the trust and the opportunity that completely changed my career. I came to Kalju shortly before my 23rd birthday from the Polish fourth division. Looking back, I could not have imagined the path ahead. It was an honor to participate in the UEFA Conference League qualifiers and to win the Estonian Cup and Supercup. This experience helped me grow as a coach and as a person and will stay with me forever. I leave the club with a huge sense of gratitude," said Ostrowski.
Nõmme Kalju has promised to decide on a new goalkeeper coach within the next week.
