Drills to be held at Riga Central Station overnight into Thursday

The State Police will hold drills at Riga Central railway station overnight into 5 November. Latvijas dzelzceļš and the passenger rail carrier Pasažieru vilciens will also take part.

Drills will take place at Riga Central railway station overnight from 4 to 5 November. They are organised by the State Police in cooperation with Latvijas dzelzceļš and the passenger rail carrier Pasažieru vilciens.

The aim of the exercise is to strengthen cooperation between the institutions involved and their readiness to respond to crisis situations, the police said.

The announcement this report is based on does not describe the scenario of the drills. It also does not say whether station operations or train traffic will be restricted while they are held.
