Salesforce and Live Nation Expand AI Assistant Rollout Across US Concert Venues

Salesforce and Live Nation announced at Dreamforce that their AI "Venue Agent" is being rolled out across US concert venues, while investor attention also turned to both companies' stock performance, Live Nation's growing dominance of the French concert market, and its ongoing legal fight with US regulators.

An AI assistant for concertgoers

On September 16, at the Dreamforce conference, Salesforce and Live Nation Entertainment announced an expansion of their partnership, rolling out an AI tool called Venue Agent across Live Nation venues throughout the United States, according to Salesforce's press release. Built on Service Cloud and Data Cloud, the tool answers fan questions about parking, door times, accessible seating and other practical details. Live Nation research cited in the release found that 78% of fans want guidance ahead of a show to make the experience smoother.

The system builds on an earlier pilot: an AI assistant called Melody, tested at the BottleRock Napa Valley festival. In the 12 days before the event, Melody logged more than 37,000 fan interactions and 17,000 customer service sessions, with 85% of attendees getting the answers they needed within three responses, Salesforce said. The company reports that Venue Agent now resolves 95% of questions without human involvement, routing harder cases to the fan engagement team via Slack.

Stock market reaction and financial results

According to ad-hoc-news.de, citing Yahoo Finance data, Live Nation shares traded around $171.72 on September 16, up 0.86% on the day and staying near the top of their 52-week range. The company's market capitalization was estimated at around $39.66 billion in September, down from $40.41 billion reported on September 14. Live Nation's second-quarter fiscal 2026 results showed revenue of $7.67 billion and earnings of $247.9 million, with earnings per share of $1.05 — well above the $0.57 analysts had estimated.

Separately, GuruFocus noted that Salesforce shares, trading at $255.65, appear roughly 25.5% undervalued relative to its calculated fair value of $343.08, with the company receiving a GuruFocus score of 91 out of 100.

The French market and legal challenges

According to Challenges, Live Nation and the Lyon-based company GL Events have become the two dominant players in the French concert market, having sold 3 million tickets across 3,000 shows last year. Live Nation has also recently acquired the Plenitude Arena near Paris — Europe's largest indoor arena, with 40,000 seats — though the deal still awaits approval from France's competition authority.

Meanwhile in the US, as reported by Zimbalam, a House of Representatives committee voted 36-0 on September 16 to advance the MAIN Event Ticketing Act, which would strengthen the fight against ticket-buying bots. Live Nation supports the bill, even as it continues to fight a lawsuit brought by the Federal Trade Commission and several US states in September 2025 alleging the company colluded with ticket resellers.
