Sanda Dejus delighted by Ralfs Eilands' transformation on “Izklausies redzēts”

On the 360TV entertainment show “Izklausies redzēts”, contestant Ralfs Eilands performed as the frontman of the band Gogol Bordello. The show is built around transformations, with participants stepping into the personas of other musicians. The performance surprised not only viewers but also guest jury member and radio voice Sanda Dejus.

Dejus said she had always thought of Ralfs as “Ralfiņš”, a affectionate diminutive form of his name. In her words, performers often stay in one fixed image for life once you get to know them, but this time her impression changed.

A rough-edged persona made an impression

What appealed to her most was the rough, fearless character of the transformation. She joked: “You filthy beast!” She said she saw a particularly unkempt, “properly grimy male”, and added that she really liked it.

Dejus also admitted the performance felt like a party she would want to stay at longer. She even imagined what she would do if Ralfs asked her to stay: by her account, she would slowly crawl across the table toward him.

As a result, Eilands not only convincingly stepped into another persona with this performance, but also made the jury guest look at him differently.
