Daniel Mullins Games, the studio behind the horror-themed card video game Inscryption, announced over the weekend that the game is coming to mobile devices. The news came during a fifth-anniversary stream on Twitch, which included an appearance by the game's creator, Daniel Mullins.

The mobile version will not reach app stores right away, as the team is working to get it right. No release date has been given. More details are expected in the coming months.

No new content planned

Fans hoping for new downloadable content (DLC) were disappointed: the studio confirmed that no such updates are planned for now. In a Reddit post, the team said it considers Inscryption a complete experience, both in terms of story and gameplay. It does not want to add content just for the sake of adding more or to capitalize on the game's success, and stressed that preserving the atmosphere, identity and experience that made the game special is very important to it.

The next project

The team's main focus at the moment is Pony Island 2, the follow-up to its 2016 game Pony Island. The studio recently announced that the long-awaited sequel will be released on Steam on April 27, 2027.
