Chef suggests using eggplant in sweet dishes too

As late summer brings an abundance of zucchini and eggplants for home gardeners, many face the challenge of using up the harvest in tasty ways. The TV24 program "Šefpavārs. Uz līnijas" ("Chef. On the Line") offers an unconventional take on cooking with eggplant.

According to the show, eggplant is an extremely adaptable vegetable, and there are no strict right-or-wrong rules when preparing it. Among the more unexpected ideas presented is combining eggplant with chocolate or cocoa, which could serve as an original filling for pastries or tarts.
