Sony's $100 PlayStation Pulse wireless headset goes on sale November 19
Sony will begin shipping its new PlayStation Pulse wireless gaming headset on November 19 at a price of $100. Pre-orders open on October 29.

Sony, the Japanese electronics and entertainment company, has announced that its new PlayStation Pulse wireless gaming headset will reach customers on November 19. The headset costs $100, and pre-orders open on October 29. It is designed for the PlayStation 5 console and other compatible devices.
Shipments will go to the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and more than a dozen other countries. The company says availability elsewhere will be announced later. The headset comes in two colors, white and midnight black.
Sound and microphone
The Pulse uses larger planar magnetic drivers than the previous model. Sony says this delivers fuller, deeper bass while keeping the clean sound associated with the Pulse Elite. According to the company, the drivers' spatial accuracy helps players pick up directional cues during games. The microphone has AI-enhanced noise rejection to reduce background sound.
Connectivity
The headset supports Bluetooth as well as the PlayStation Link protocol. This lets it connect to supported devices such as the PS5, PlayStation Portal, Mac and PC. Sony says the technology provides seamless switching between connected devices, along with lossless, ultra-low latency audio.
Pricing and upcoming products
The new headset costs $50 less than the PlayStation Pulse Elite, Sony's first planar magnetic headset. A higher-end model, the Pulse Edge, is due in 2027. Sony will also begin shipping its $220 Pulse Elevate wireless speakers, which likewise use planar magnetic drivers, next month.
