On Thursday, June 18, 2026, the Perinatal Care Center of Paula Stradiņš Clinical University Hospital saw the birth of triplets – three boys. This is the second set of triplets at the hospital this year. The boys were born at 09:18, weighing 1610 grams, 1390 grams, and 1830 grams respectively. The mother and the newborns are in good health and receiving all required medical care.
Earlier this year, in March, the hospital welcomed another set of triplets: two girls and one boy. Over the years, the Perinatal Care Center has assisted multiple triplet births, ensuring high-level care for both mothers and newborns. The hospital specializes in complex clinical cases and provides care for patients from across Latvia, particularly when multidisciplinary expertise is needed.
