The first half was a cautious affair with few clear chances. Granit Xhaka shot wide on eight minutes, while Dan Ndoye troubled the Bosnian defense but could not break through. Experienced striker Edin Džeko saw his shot blocked by a Swiss defender, and defender Sead Kolašinac’s run was thwarted by an interception. The teams went into halftime goalless.

Switzerland came out stronger after the break. Ndoye’s acrobatic bicycle kick in the 56th minute was saved by goalkeeper Nikola Vasilj. In the 63rd minute, Breel Embolo headed straight at Vasilj after a Bosnian defensive error. The deadlock was finally broken in the 74th minute when Manzambi scored. Bosnia’s task became harder in the 80th minute when Muharemovic received a red card. Vargas made it 2-0 in the 84th minute. Bosnia pulled one back through Mahmic in the 90+3rd minute, but Switzerland responded quickly: Manzambi scored his second in the 90th minute, and Granit Xhaka converted a penalty deep into stoppage time (90+7). The match ended 4-1.

Statistics showed Swiss dominance: 13 shots (7 on target) to Bosnia’s 5 (3 on target), 7 corners to 3, and 50 duels won to 35. With this win, Switzerland leads Group B with 6 points.
