Tūja becomes the first smart village in Limbaži municipality

Tūja has become the first village in Limbaži municipality to receive the title "Smart Village 2026". The recognition was presented on 16 October at the Engure Community House, at a ceremony honouring several recipients of this year's title. Tūja received it as the first village from Limbaži municipality.

Diploma and plaque for the village

At the ceremony, Aldis Kukurs, a representative of the association "Tūjas laiks", accepted the diploma and a thematic plaque. The plaque is to be displayed in the village itself, so that the distinction is visible to local residents and visitors.

The association's response

The association "Tūjas laiks" says it is truly proud and gratified by the recognition. Its representatives stress that targeted and careful work lies behind the achievement.

The association does not plan to stop there. It says work on the village's development will continue.
