Today and on Thursday, 29 October, the timetable for some trains on the Tukums line, which links Riga, Jūrmala and Tukums, will change. The information was published by the passenger carrier AS "Pasažieru vilciens", which operates under the "Vivi" brand. The changes are linked to renovation work on a bridge over the Liepupe, carried out by VAS "Latvijas dzelzceļš", the state railway infrastructure company.

The changes are planned for the period from 9:30 to 16:10, when passenger numbers are lower. During this time some services will be cancelled, shortened or extended, some trains will depart earlier or later than usual, and others will use different tracks. "Vivi" urges passengers to check the current departure time and track before every trip.

Cancelled and extended services

On both days, six services in each direction will be cancelled. From Riga, no trains will run at 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 13:30, 14:30 and 15:30. Services running on the hour in this period will go farther than usual: the 10:00 train will run to Ķemeri, while the 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00 and 15:00 trains will continue to Tukums II instead of stopping at Sloka.

From Sloka towards Riga, no trains will run at 10:09, 11:09, 12:09, 13:09, 14:09 and 15:09. So that passengers can still reach the capital at the usual time, several Riga-bound trains will depart 10 to 17 minutes earlier.

Timing changes for individual services

The train leaving Riga at 9:30 will call at stops between Sloka and Tukums II 11 to 13 minutes later than usual. The service departing Riga at 15:45 will reach stops between Priedaine and Dubulti seven minutes later than normal.

One Riga-bound service will be shortened and another extended. The train that normally starts at Tukums II will instead start at Ķemeri at 11:20, 10 minutes earlier than usual. The train that normally starts at Ķemeri will begin at Tukums II at 11:52 and reach Ķemeri at 12:13, 17 minutes earlier than usual.

Tracks in Jūrmala

Today and on 29 October, all trains at Lielupe, Bulduri, Dzintari and Majori will arrive from Riga and depart for Riga on track 1. At Dubulti, trains from Riga will arrive on track 1, while trains to Riga will depart from track 2.
