Ukraine strikes Ozon logistics hub in Russia's Samara region; two killed in attacks on Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia area
Overnight on August 22, Ukrainian drones struck a logistics center of Russian retailer Ozon in the Samara region, while Russian strikes on Kyiv and the Zaporizhzhia region killed two people.

Overnight on August 22, Ukrainian drones struck a logistics center belonging to Russian online retailer Ozon in the city of Chapaevsk in Russia's Samara region, the BBC reports.
Ozon said on social media that more than 500 workers were evacuated from the site within minutes after the strike on the warehouse, though several people were injured.
Ozon and Wildberries are Russia's two largest online marketplaces. Ukraine's armed forces began striking Wildberries warehouses on July 18 and have since hit more than 10 such facilities. It is alleged that Wildberries is used as a supply platform, including through a division that sells military goods.
Following the drone attack on the Samara region overnight on August 22, a fire also broke out at the Novokuibyshevsk oil refinery, according to Ukrainska Pravda. The refinery belongs to the Rosneft concern and is one of the largest oil refineries in the Volga region, with a design capacity of about 8.8 million tonnes of oil per year.
Strikes on Kyiv and Kushuhum kill two
The Russian military struck Kyiv with ballistic missiles overnight on August 22, according to Germany's Deutsche Welle. In Kyiv's Darnytskyi district, preliminary reports indicate one person was killed and several others injured in the attack, and a warehouse building caught fire.
Additionally, overnight on August 22, Russian forces struck the village of Kushuhum in the Zaporizhzhia district with a drone. The strike killed one person and injured four others, according to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, who reported the incident on Telegram.
