Ukrainian drones strike Russia’s largest oil refinery
Ukrainian drones hit Russia's largest oil refinery in Omsk, causing partial damage. The attack marks the deepest Ukrainian drone penetration into Russian territory since the war began.

Ukrainian drones struck Russia's largest oil refinery in Omsk, damaging the ELOU-AVT-11 primary oil processing unit, which has a design capacity of 8.4 million tons per year. The strike was confirmed by Ukraine's General Staff and the Ukrainian open-source intelligence project Dnipro. It is the farthest Ukrainian drones have penetrated into Russian territory since the start of the war.
Omsk region Governor Vitaly Khotsenko reported that Russian air defenses destroyed most of the drones involved in the attack, adding that there were no casualties and emergency services were at the scene. The strike was allegedly carried out using new FP-1 drones, built by Ukrainian company Fire Point, which have a range of up to 2,700 kilometers. Fire Point CEO Denys Shtilierman posted a video of the attack on X, writing: “Omsk Refinery meets the new FP1.”
Since spring, the Ukrainian military has intensified attacks on Russian oil refineries producing gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel. As a result, fuel shortages are being reported in many regions of Russia.
