Ukraine Strikes 12 Russian 'Shadow Fleet' Tankers in Sea of Azov
Ukrainian special forces hit 12 tankers, a cargo ship, and a tugboat in the Sea of Azov, also attacking an oil terminal and an ammunition depot.

Ukrainian special operations forces struck Russian 'shadow fleet' vessels in the Sea of Azov on July 9. According to information published by Ukraine's Ministry of Defense, 12 tankers, one cargo ship, and one tugboat were hit. In total, 35 enemy vessels have been targeted in the last 96 hours.
The Ukrainian General Staff stated that these ships were used to supply Russian troop groups with fuel and lubricants, as well as to transport oil and oil products while circumventing international sanctions. They ensure energy resource exports, which is one of the main sources of funding for Russia's warfare.
Additionally, Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the oil transshipment terminal 'Yug Rusi' in Bataysk, Rostov Oblast, Russia. A fire broke out on the company's territory. The terminal provided transshipment of oil products for export and was used to supply Russian troop groups in the southern direction with fuel and lubricants, as well as to generate currency revenues directed to financing armed aggression against Ukraine.
Furthermore, an enemy ammunition warehouse was destroyed in the Sorokino district of Luhansk Oblast. The extent of damage and precise results of the strikes are being clarified.
