Usyk's team begins talks for potential farewell fight against Wilder
Oleksandr Usyk, who recently vacated his heavyweight titles, has started negotiations for a possible fight against American Deontay Wilder.

Oleksandr Usyk's team director Alex Lapin has announced that talks have begun for a fight against former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder. Usyk had previously stated he wants one more fight, his "last dance," and sees Wilder as the ideal opponent.
Lapin highlighted that this bout would be significant both sportingly and in terms of media attention, as both boxers are known for their power and appeal. Meanwhile, Wilder's representative Shelly Finkel confirmed to the BBC that the American fighter would accept the challenge if an official offer is made.
Interestingly, the potential fight could be promoted by "Zuffa Boxing," an organization led by UFC owner Dana White. Lapin noted that negotiations with this organization are underway, but no agreement has been reached yet. He also added that the fight would most likely take place in the United States.
Usyk remains undefeated in 25 professional bouts, while Wilder's record stands at 45 wins, four losses, and one draw.
