24th Valka Parish Sports Games Held
Eight teams competed in 10 non-traditional disciplines at the 24th Valka Parish Sports Games. Team "Neraudi, susuriņ!" emerged as winners.

The annual sports games of Valka Parish took place for the 24th time, featuring eight teams competing in ten non-traditional sports, dexterity, and ingenuity disciplines.
The winning team was "Neraudi, susuriņ!" consisting of Marta Empele, Kristīne Mergina, Marta Konopacka, Mare Andrējeva-Empele, Ilmārs Andrējevs-Empelis, Raivis Kauliņš, Aleksandrs Alans Kalniņš, and Emīls Kalniņš. Second place, just two points behind, went to the perennial participants "Veri Nais" – Sandijs Dudelis, Nauris Konstants, Dins Demidočkins, Lauris Lūsis, Aivita Dudele, Oksana Konstante, Anete Plūme, and Ieva Pope. Third place was secured by the consistently strong team "4×4 dalīts uz 2" – Ainārs Zandersons, Kristaps Polakens, Reinis Kruška, Edvīns Zandersons, Alise Kruška, Vita Zandersone, Olita Zandersone, and Lolita Vītola.
Special recognition went to the youth teams "Bezdarbnieki" and "Nindzjas" for their courage in competing against adults. The return of three teams – "Vitamīns D", "Pandas", and the Valga-based team "No Limits" – was also a pleasant surprise.
Supporters of the event included the farm "Kalnpierbes", which provided sausages to replenish energy, the farm "Spuldzes", which contributed elements for the "Burgernīca" discipline and honey treats, and photographer Guntars Āboliņš, who captured the highlights of the games.
