Defending champions Cash and Glasspool out of Wimbledon
Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool lost in the men's doubles quarter-finals at Wimbledon to Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic in straight sets.

Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool's defence of their Wimbledon men's doubles title ended in the quarter-finals on Saturday. The third seeds were beaten 6-2, 7-6 (7-2) by sixth seeds Marcelo Arevalo of El Salvador and Croatia's Mate Pavic.
Cash and Glasspool became the first all-British pair to win the men's doubles title at the All England Club in 89 years when they triumphed in 2025. However, they could not replicate that form this year, failing to convert two break points in a match that lasted just 74 minutes.
Arevalo and Pavic are aiming to complete the Queen's-Wimbledon double this year, just as Cash and Glasspool did last year. The top seeds (by ranking) began 2026 by winning the Australian Open and are seeking a fourth Grand Slam final.
With Cash and Glasspool's exit, Henry Patten is the only Briton left in the men's doubles draw. Patten and his Finnish partner Harri Heliovaara, the 2024 champions, will face American Aleksandar Kovacevic and Australia's Thanasi Kokkinakis in the semi-finals on Thursday.
