VisLatvijas Secondary School Experience Presented at International Education Forum in Davos
Participants of the education forum in Davos learned about the hybrid education model of VisLatvijas Secondary School and the vision of its director A. Pekuless on cultivating future leaders.

At the International Education Forum in Davos, the director of VisLatvijas Secondary School, A. Pekuless, delivered a speech sharing the school's experience with its hybrid education model and its role in nurturing future leaders. In his address titled "Future-Proofing Society: Cultivating the Leaders of 2026 and Beyond," he emphasized that preparing society for the future begins not with new regulations, curricula, or technologies, but with a courageous collective decision to shape the next generation of leaders.
The director presented the school's hybrid education model, which combines the best of distance learning and in-person education. This model allows students to learn in a personalized way, take responsibility for their growth, and develop skills needed for the future. The forum also highlighted the importance of public-private partnerships in education. Pekuless noted that private schools can serve as innovation laboratories where solutions for the benefit of the entire society are created and tested.
He expressed satisfaction that the work of VisLatvijas Secondary School has been internationally recognized as an inspiring example of achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goal 4 – quality education. He returned from the forum with valuable contacts, new ideas, and confirmation that the school's chosen direction is correct, while also acknowledging the many tasks ahead. Pekuless thanked students, parents, teachers, and colleagues for their joint efforts that made the school's experience significant on an international scale.
