Zelenskyy hints that Patriot interceptors are not only in the US
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that interceptor missiles for the Patriot air defense system are available not only in the US but also in other allied countries, urging their immediate transfer to Ukraine.

During a press conference in Ankara alongside NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that the top priority is to obtain as many interceptor missiles for the Patriot air defense system as quickly as possible. He noted that these missiles are not only held by the United States but also by several other friendly nations.
Zelenskyy said he plans to discuss this with Rutte, stressing the urgent need. "We know which of our friends – not just Americans, by the way – have such capabilities. We desperately need this, it is an urgent necessity. I think everyone has seen these Russian strikes," the president stated.
He also highlighted that air defense capabilities are crucial for protecting both civilians and the military. "Of course, we see Russia's weakness, we feel it – but it is still not enough. We need more pressure, more anti-ballistic missiles, and more sanctions against Russia," Zelenskyy added.
The president also called on partners to support Ukraine's efforts to obtain a license to produce Patriot missiles domestically. Earlier, Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov sent letters to nearly 40 partner countries requesting the immediate transfer of Patriot missiles from existing stocks this month. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte expressed hope that the NATO summit would bring favorable decisions for Ukraine regarding interceptors to shoot down ballistic missiles.
