The magazine Domuzīme continues to release translations focused on historical geography. The series, inspired by German geographer Friedrich Ratzel's concept of time readable in space, comprises six texts exploring different forms of places and human perceptions—including fears, desires, fantasies, and prejudices that shape relationships with the surrounding world.

The third translation turns to the desert, which in Western culture has long been a setting for self discovery, trials, and transformation. The magazine presents fragments from The Unknown Sahara (Hungarian: Az ismeretlen Szahara), a 1935 travelogue by Hungarian aviator and explorer László Almásy. Almásy is known for his Saharan expeditions and later inspired the character in the film The English Patient.

This installment continues the series' thematic progression from uninhabited spaces toward more civilized forms of habitation. The texts are available in Domuzīme's 2026 issue No. 3.
