Former NBA Player Beasley Involved in Gambling Scandal
Former NBA player Malik Beasley has been accused of intentionally underperforming in a gambling scheme alongside another ex-player, Ed Davis. The allegations cover a period from December 2023 to April 2024.

Former NBA player Malik Beasley and fellow ex-pro Ed Davis have been implicated in a gambling scandal, according to foreign media reports. The two are accused of participating in an illegal betting scheme from December 2023 to April 2024.
Beasley, who played for the Milwaukee Bucks during that period, is alleged to have deliberately played poorly in a game on January 26, 2024. In that contest, he scored only four points and committed four turnovers in less than 27 minutes. Before the game, Beasley reportedly told Davis that he planned to be less aggressive under the basket, which he followed through on, grabbing just three rebounds. Bookmakers had predicted he would collect four rebounds.
Similar accusations were leveled against Beasley after the 2024/2025 season, when he was with the Detroit Pistons. Although his guilt was not proven at that time, he did not receive an opportunity to play for any NBA team last season.
In his most recent NBA season, Beasley played all 82 regular-season games, averaging 16.3 points per game. He also finished second in the league's Sixth Man of the Year voting.
