The Rokytne District Court in Kyiv region on July 14 granted the prosecution's motion and placed Stanislav Luchanov, former commander of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade "Anna Kyiv", under arrest. He is suspected of organizing the kidnapping and murder of two civilians.

During the court hearing, the prosecutor stated that Luchanov allegedly ordered the killing of the two civilians, and the act was carried out by battalion commander Senior Lieutenant Oleksiy Dolholenko. Luchanov was detained on July 13 in Kyiv, and a total of nine servicemen have been detained, including Dolholenko.

According to media reports, on July 11, hromadske, citing sources, reported that Luchanov was wanted after nine brigade servicemen were detained on suspicion of kidnapping two civilians in the Kyiv region. Later, the "North" Operational Command confirmed the search and stated that the individuals involved in the investigation had been suspended from duty.

Sources from Ukrainian Pravda in law enforcement agencies indicate that it is not just a kidnapping but also murder. Allegedly, based on a domestic conflict, the brigade commander ordered subordinates to kidnap two civilians in the Kyiv region, who were then taken to the Poltava region and killed.

The Ground Forces stated that they are cooperating with the investigation into the case concerning the servicemen of the 155th Brigade but added that disclosing additional information at this stage could harm the investigation. Media have identified the victims as brothers Maksym and Roman Moseichuk, whose father died at the front.

Later, the Military Law Enforcement Service announced that the former brigade commander and other participants had been notified of suspicion of illegal deprivation of liberty and intentional murder of two civilians.
