Turkish Foreign Minister to Visit Ukraine on Wednesday
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will visit Ukraine on Wednesday, announced Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha. The visit follows Ukraine's ratification of the free trade agreement between the two countries.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha announced that Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will visit Ukraine on Wednesday, July 15. The announcement came after the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed a law on July 14 ratifying the free trade agreement between Ukraine and Turkey.
Sybiha thanked deputies on social media platform X for supporting the decision, noting that the agreement is the result of years of persistent and sometimes difficult work. He emphasized that the agreement opens a new chapter in expanding trade, investment, and economic cooperation between the two countries, creating new opportunities for businesses and citizens.
"I welcome my friend, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, and everyone who contributed to achieving this important result. I look forward to meeting Hakan tomorrow in Ukraine, where we will continue to develop our strategic partnership in all areas of mutual interest," wrote Sybiha.
Turkey ratified the free trade agreement with Ukraine on August 2, 2024. Negotiations for the agreement were the longest that official Kyiv has ever conducted.
