Estonia poll: Isamaa–Center union is the most preferred coalition among opposition parties
In an Estonian poll, 29 percent of respondents named a coalition of the opposition parties Isamaa and the Center Party as their preferred future government. The Reform Party was the one most respondents did not want to see in government.

A new opinion poll in Estonia shows that a coalition of the opposition parties Isamaa and the Center Party is the most popular option for a future government. Some 29 percent of respondents chose it as their preferred line-up. The survey was carried out by the polling company Norstat together with the Ühiskonnauuringute Instituut, a social research institute.
Respondents were asked which of several possible coalitions, based on current party support, they would most like to see in government.
Ranking of coalitions
The responses produced the following order:
- Center Party and Isamaa: 29 percent;
- Isamaa, the Social Democratic Party (SDE) and the Reform Party: 19 percent;
- Center Party, SDE and Reform Party: 9 percent;
- Center Party, SDE and EKRE: 8 percent;
- Isamaa, SDE and EKRE: 4 percent;
- Isamaa, EKRE and Reform Party: 1 percent;
- Center Party, EKRE and Reform Party: 1 percent;
- Don't know: 30 percent.
The previous poll, at the end of September, found that the most popular coalition was Isamaa, the Center Party and EKRE, with 25 percent. That option was not offered this time because party support ratings have changed.
Parties respondents want kept out
Participants were also asked which parties should definitely not be part of the government. The Reform Party was named most often, by 42 percent. It was followed by Eesti 200 (40 percent), EKRE (39 percent), Parempoolsed (26 percent), the Social Democratic Party (21 percent), the Center Party (11 percent) and Isamaa (9 percent).
The poll was conducted online from October 30 to November 1 among Estonian citizens aged 18 and over. In total, 1,000 people took part.
