Estonia's Peak Tourism Season Arrives Earlier Than Rest of Europe
Estonia's tourism peaks in July, while most EU countries see peak in July and August. Estonia's seasonality is below the EU average.

According to Statistics Estonia, Estonia's tourism season peaks in July, unlike most of the European Union where the busiest months are July and August. Leading analyst Piret Pukk noted that last year, July accounted for 13.9 percent of all annual overnight stays at accommodation establishments, while August accounted for 12.2 percent.
Although Estonia is not among Europe's most popular tourist destinations, its tourism seasonality is less pronounced than the EU average. Eurostat data shows that last year, July and August together made up 26.1 percent of all overnight stays in Estonia, below the EU average of 31.1 percent.
Neighboring countries show even lower seasonality. In Finland, July and August accounted for 24.1 percent of annual overnight stays, in Lithuania 24.5 percent, and in Latvia 29.1 percent.
The most seasonal tourism is found in Mediterranean countries. Croatia recorded 54.5 percent of annual overnight stays in July and August, Bulgaria 43.4 percent, and Greece 41.6 percent.
