Estonian Transport Department announces tender for new image video for €30,000
Estonia's Transport Department has announced a tender for a new image video with an estimated cost of up to €30,000. The video aims to provide an up-to-date overview of the department's activities and its employees.

The Estonian Transport Department has launched a public tender for the production of a new image video, with a maximum budget of €30,000, ERR reports, citing department communications head Kai Simson.
The video is intended to showcase both the department's areas of activity and the people who ensure the daily operation of Estonia's transport system. Simson stated that the video helps provide a comprehensive overview of the department's work, which extends far beyond what is typically associated with the Transport Department.
She added that the video is an important branding tool, as the department operates in fields where recruiting specialists is a serious challenge. "Therefore, it is crucial to present the organization, its employees, and opportunities to potential future workers, and to spark interest in areas where finding successors is difficult," Simson noted.
The previous Transport Department image video was released nearly three years ago. According to Simson, the need for a new video arises from significant changes in the department's tasks and structure over the past three years. The most notable changes include the establishment of a state car fleet, the redistribution of former responsibilities, and the transfer of public transport management from the Transport Department to the Ministry of Regional Affairs and Agriculture.
Simson explained that the €30,000 figure is the maximum expected cost, with the final price to be determined through the public tender. This sum covers the entire production process: preparation, filming, editing, sound and color processing, music licensing, and the creation of video versions for various distribution channels.
The video must be completed by November of this year. It is planned for use on the department's website, social media, recruitment events, department buildings, as well as for presenting the organization to partners and in international cooperation. Simson emphasized that the video is not intended for a specific campaign but will serve as a long-term organizational presentation material to be used as needed over several years.
The Estonian Transport Department was established on January 1, 2021, through the merger of the Aviation Department, the Road Department, and the Waterways Department, becoming the legal successor of those institutions.
