Leigh hold off Castleford to boost play-off hopes
Leigh Leopards beat Castleford Tigers 24-18, securing their ninth win in 11 games and keeping their Super League play-off ambitions alive.

Leigh built a 12-0 lead early with tries from Lachlan Lam and David Armstrong, but Castleford fought back to level at half-time through Sam Hall and Mikaele Ravalawa. After the break, Umyla Hanley and Armstrong crossed to restore a 12-point cushion, before Phoenix Laulu-Togaga'e's late try set up a tense finish.
The hosts were without an 18th man due to injuries to Frankie Halton and Bailey Hodgson, while Castleford lost Krystian Mapapalangi in the warm-up. Two Castleford tries were disallowed, and Louis Senior was sin-binned for a high tackle.
Leigh coach Adrian Lam expressed frustration over the stop-start nature of the game and the penalty count. Castleford's Ryan Carr praised his team's effort but questioned the sin-bin decision.
