In Sigulda, at 13 Šveices Street, on the fence of the Sigulda bobsleigh and luge track, street artist Kiwie has unveiled a distinctive mural titled 'First Ride'. The work is a tribute to the track's 40th anniversary and captures one of the artist's fondest childhood memories – sledding down a snowy hill.

The mural consists of 90 hand-drawn frames that together form a nine-second animated clip. The 184-meter-long narrow concrete wall reminded Kiwie of a film strip, inspiring him to create a moving image rather than a single static piece. This approach differs from his typical large-format works, as the wall's dimensions did not allow for his usual style.

The piece is deeply personal and unique, blending the artist's childhood experiences with the city's essence. 'Apollo.lv' captured the animation, showing how the 90 frames sequentially reveal the sled ride.
