Undo, a Cambridge-based scale-up specializing in AI-powered root cause analysis, has announced the closure of a €31 million ($37 million) funding round to accelerate development and significantly expand its global market reach. The round was led by Elsewhere Partners.

Founder and CEO Greg Law stated that Undo has spent years building deterministic program recording technology for runtime visibility of code failures, which has become essential with the rise of AI. The investment will allow Undo to embed itself into AI workflows, scale commercial reach, and become an integral part of engineering teams' operations.

Similar funding activity in 2026 indicates sustained interest in operational layers of AI-assisted software development, including software supply chain control, AI-agent security, CI/CD, cloud operations, and developer tooling. Undo's round is closely related as it addresses the enterprise concern of maintaining reliability and control as AI-generated code increases system complexity.

Elsewhere Partners Operating Partner Rod Favaron noted that AI makes code unmanageable, introducing code engineers cannot understand or debug. Undo provides the runtime context necessary for engineering teams to effectively operate complex systems in an AI-first world.

Founded in 2012, Undo allows coding agents to solve complex problems on complex codebases by providing fully automated root cause analysis. It captures complete execution history into self-contained recordings, enabling AI agents to perform accurate root cause analysis. According to Undo, the latest models identify root causes of only 38% of complex bugs without Undo, but with Undo's runtime context, that increases to 92%. Customers report completing root cause analysis 100x faster with Undo.

Suresh Sangiah, Senior VP Engineering at Palo Alto Networks, emphasized that Undo provides the visibility needed to catch and correct errors before they become operational problems, often autonomously finding root causes in minutes.

The company plans to significantly scale its product development, customer support, and go-to-market teams across the United States and Europe to support expansion and adoption of its solutions.
